Rainbow Bridge Shenanigans
Timeland shifts, meltdowns and a whole new dawn
We shall not cease from exploration.
And the end of all our exploring
Will arrive where we started.
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, remembered gate
When the last of earth was left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.
—T.S. Eliot, from “Little Gidding”, Four Quartets (Gardners Books; Main edition, April 30, 2001). Originally published 1943.
Be infinitesimal under that sky, a creature
even the sailing hawk misses, a wraith
among the rocks where the mist parts slowly.
Recall the way mere mortals are overwhelmed
by circumstance, how great reputations
dissolve with infirmity and how you,
in particular, live a hairsbreadth from losing
everyone you hold dear.
Then, look back down the path as if seeing
your past and then south over the hazy blue
coast as if present to a wide future.
Remember the way you are all possibilities
you can see and how you live best
as an appreciator of horizons,
whether you reach them or not.
Admit that once you have got up
from your chair and opened the door,
once you have walked out into the clean air
toward that edge and taken the path up high
beyond the ordinary, you have become
the privileged and the pilgrim,
the one who will tell the story
and the one, coming back
from the mountain,
who helped to make it.

As timelines change
Things are going to get weirder.
And you and I, all of us, have no control over it, really.
Apart from the fact that we are gods in human form and get to create our reality, which is not a small thing.
But that does mean you and I or anyone gets to control the outcome.
Some say it is predetermined.
Some say all is choice,
some say what matters is the sound of your voice.
I am not sure anymore recently.
All I know is that what once worked currently does not.
And even the finest intuitions must admit:
Anything can happen.
or not.
And what we believe reality is is up for grabs.
So I guess
As a wise man said once: love many, trust few, but always paddle your own canoe.
I have sat in circles.
And I have seen miracles, and I have at times become a miracle.
And I have sat in temples, churches, mosques and even temples made out of scrap wood and rags that worked just the same.
The sacred shows itself in ineffable gentleness and unthinkable intensity.
and we are always eternal seekers for the heart of Go(l)d.
Even when we think we have found
Another door opens.
and then another.
For every person we meet is another doorway to another facet of Divinity.
And this is the only way I can really live a life;
“As an appreciator of horizons”, as the White one said once.
The seeker/founder duality is something that I believe needs to be transcended.
We find, we lose, we find again, we lose gain, we “fail”, we “succeed”, we fail better.
We stop and wonder if all of our life has been one great collection of folly and delusion, and perhaps we have wasted it.
And then we rise another day inspired by the promise of a new dawn.
It is, in a way, the only way to fully live.
As we love, serve, and remember
and find ways to make it fun;
Epstein, manipulators, deceivers, and deceptions notwithstanding.
Be like water, my friend.
As Master Bruce said.
Especially in the fiery heat of the fireball thrown at us by the Shining Orb in the sky,
that is teaching us a million ways. We may choose how.
to die.
May phoenixes rise.
and dimensional melt,
and something completely different
is being born.
Even if it may be
a
storm
in
a
teacup.
Blessed are the seekers of the mystery who never get bored of the exploration.
For theirs is the shine of tomorrow.
and the reward of
the jester
day.
Aho
So be it.
Amen.
