Test(s) of Fire
And how they are often now what you think they might be
There is always a test of fire,
but it might not be what you think it is.
Yes, sometimes it is one grand big thing, a mission, a task an obstacle , an imppossible thing that needs to ne done,
but quite often it is much more complicated.
Life is not always like a video game (though it actually it, but that is anohter matter).
It is the little small things of everyday life, completed one after another, without complaint, vanity or hollow pride.
It is letting go of addictions,
distractions,
and attractions to what is not really essential.
A friend of mine quoted a wise man saying " we came to the earth naked and without anything, we will leave it the same, everything else in between is a bonus".
This is not to say one should not enjoy the boons of life,
quite the opposite, this earth is meant to be enjoyed, revelled in, ravished even, withouth guilt, shame and too much mental garbage..
but also:
without attachment.
Willing to let it all go at any moment and knowing one truly owns nothing
not even your own body
or not even your own soul,
in some sense.
In that strict sense of total surrender to LIFE
one can have, enjoy and revel in anything
that comes his way.
But also taking full responsibility for anything that might, or might not happpen.
Paradoxically, you CAN have it all,
when you have no need or want of it.
And then it eating like like a like a connoisseur of Consciousness
be it whatever it may be.
A woman.
A dish.
A good novel.
Coffee in the sun with friends.
A walk in the woods.
A meeting of equals.
A good sparring.
A flight of the sparrow.
And adventure in a magical mystical land.
Or just sitting still.
Being and becoming
EVERYTHING.
When you can see and experience ALL OF IT
as you would any passing breath,
you are free to play with it all.
But as long you can’t,
it is better not to.
For your obsession will lead to possession.
Your hunger will lead to madness.
Your craving and wanting
will lead you to want and wanton.
Nobody said it was going to be easy (though it really is at one point)
It is a game played for the JOY, GLORY and WONDER of LIFE
and as long as
you stay aware.
None of it is real (apart from the suffering, that may not be, but feels real, so you have to be careful not to create more of),
you are truly free.
But before that
listen to the Crimson one and know that:
Only a Master can Truly Serve
all others
are
but
Servants.
Serve like a Master,
and drop the need to be called , seen as, or call yourself one.
And then jump into the Mystery,
full of excitement and glee
at what might happen

JOURNEY !

the only thing you really need to worry about…
is the purity of your intention ,
and not tarnishing you HONOUR.
The rest is conditional , changeable and ultimately more or less
up for
grabs.
